Halloween Horror In SAFE-T Chi-land
Trick or Treat Chicago style results in 3 kids among 14 injured in drive-by shootings on the West Side aka Gangland of Little Shoulders & might remind SAFE-T Act progressives of foolishness in giving villains sanctuary…
We’ve all read about the new “equity” Illinois law effective Jan. 1 rammed through the state legislature by Chicago Machine pols. It will eliminate cash bail, make it harder for judges to impose any bail based on flight risk worries, lessen electronic monitoring of bailed prisoners and ban police from evicting “non-violent” trespassers from folks’ hearth & home. But, how in the world can such a law with possibly monstrous consequences even be considered as Fox News reports the day after Halloween that “an eyewitness ‘says’ he found at least two children with bullet wounds in the Chicago mass shooting.”
No trick here. The Chicago Police confirmed the shooting happened in the area of South California Avenue and West Polk Street, not that far from the old South Side neighborhood I grew up in. During the 50s, we used to sit on our porches every night and wave to neighbors as they walked by. Now, I wouldn’t leave my door secured by wrought iron bars to take a letter from the mailman. In a press conference, police told us “a 3-year-old, 11-year-old and a 13-year old” were among the victims … the rest were adults.” Huh? And, oh, “authorities [added] that a person was also hit by a car.”
