Harris Right or Left-Handed Fish or Fowl?

There’s a reason Kamala Harris got creamed by Joe Biden in the 2020 Democratic primaries & it may not be able to be easily glossed over as the 2024 DNC is trying to do: Her past "creds" disgusted many in the left as well as the right.

Said an LA criminal defense lawyer Nicole Castronovo, Harris is “one of these people who’ve talked out of both sides of their mouth & she’s going to have trouble with both the left & the right with the stances she’s taken over the years.” In the recent Fox News coverage, we’re reminded that as SF DA & California AG Ms. Harris backed a number of numbing radical initiatives, the most glaring of which was in Proposition 47 many from both parties say unleashed rampant crime across the state. It was AG Harris’ “explanation” of the new criminal reform law in rosy, progressive-eze that some say was misleading. Dubbed the “Safe Neighborhoods & Schools Act,” the legislation lessened penalties for a variety of crimes, e.g., making shoplifting under $950 a misdemeanor rather than a felony. Other crimes that were once felonies, like forgery, fraud & drug use were also reclassified as misdemeanors. Castronovo noted that even angered some liberal backers who now realize “crime is just out of control.”

Then again, as San Francisco’s DA from 2004 to 2011, Harris positioned herself as a “tough-on-crime” prosecutor. Among other things, Harris reportedly sought charges against parents of repeat truant students & higher bail for gun offense defendants. Which is it, then. Is Harris fish or fowl?
