Harris’ Security Chops Are Chopped Liver On CBS?

To show off her “national security” chops, VP Harris’ handlers had her go on CBS’s “Face the Nation” to answer the softest of softball Qs “what’s No. 1 threat to America’s security?” & she rambled on about voting rights, then, segwayed into climate change as if reading off a dummy card. “Yikes,” opined WSJ’s editorial board.

Noted the editors: “In a world of growing risks from China, Russia, Iran, cyber attacks & hypersonic weapons, the Vice President names” the things “keeping her up at night” are “U.S. democracy & climate change as America’s most important security challenges ...” Perhaps she didn’t want to make news on a security question, so she fell back on her political safe spaces.” The editors when on to kindly give Ms. Harris some advice: “This isn’t the real world of threats we are living in and it’s dangerous that a year into the job she still can’t talk realistically about national security. The VP needs an intervention from people outside her political bubble.”

Yet, what makes the WSJ think such an “outside intervention” is even a “realistic” possibility given it’s been obvious neither she nor Mr. Biden are controlling the “messaging” shots let alone perhaps even the real shots?
