Have We Entered Transgender Twilight Zone?

Fox News reports a poll says “a majority of Americans oppose transgender surgeries & anti-puberty blockers for minors” as med pros say “rates of gender dysphoria skyrocket.” Only in the Twighlight Zone would parental consent be an issue?

Personally, once emancipated or an adult under state law, I wouldn’t think of giving an opinion to or about a person wanting to go to a doctor to be confirmed let alone turned into WHATEVER they want, including a replica of Disney’s Mickey Mouse. And, while the poll doesn't explicitly address it, most Americans would probably agree in: “Their adult body, their adult life, their adult choice.” Yet, somewhere too many have lost their way when it comes to this very key decision made for (or with) minors, sometimes with way too much "outside the family" influence. For instance, it’s seen in the progressive mantra that Big Government, liberal Academia and progressive Teachers Unions own the nation’s children so parents must shut up and stand by while they feed their Jacks and Jills all the sex education and/or re-education crap they can dream up, including "gender identity.".

The Biden Administration, says Fox, doesn’t seem to agree, Asst Sec for Health Rachel Levine, recently insisting “there is no argument among medical professionals … about the value and the importance of gender-affirming care.” Sorry, but that sophomoric remark rates 4 Pinocchio's as real medical professionals warn the underlying medical problems are way more complicated than the transgender activists suggest and should always be made clear that it requires the intimate involvement as well as consent of parents.
