Here’s Johnny. Shinola’s Back!

Fox News recently featured how “Will Smith & Johnny Depp lead celebrity comebacks after being canceled.” Couldn’t care less? A pr stunt to plug Smith’s latest jab at notoriety, “Emancipation,” set to be released Dec. 2?

It’s almost as if Fox and most other media outlets are still on a Thanksgiving Weekend hangover, in which the only thing they can report on is “celebrity” crapola. Don’t get me started. But, as it happens, Fox notes, “Smith is currently on a press tour promoting his upcoming film … less than a year after slapping Chris Rock on stage during the Oscars.” Meanwhile, we’re told, “Depp has also been declared ‘vindicated’ following his court win against ex-wife Amber Heard.” According to “brand expert” Kelcey Kintner, “There isn’t one quick fix when it comes to celebrities getting out of cancel culture purgatory. The public’s perception of the person before the controversy, the seriousness of the offense and the celebrity’s response to the firestorm all play a role. But usually, with enough time, a celebrity can slowly work their way back.”

Wonderful. Glad to hear it as I read on about the earlier, remarkable comebacks of Tom Cruz and Mel Gibson. ZZZZZZZZ.
