If Sinwar Had Followed Isaiah’s Prophecy

We’re told “Sinwar’s Bloody Gambit” changed the Middle East, but not in improving the prospects for a Palestinian State let alone demise of Israel. Imagine what might have happened to the first dream if he had followed Isaiah’s prophecy …

As a WSJ story observed, the Hamas leader’s vicious attack on Israeli civilians, killing some 1,200 & kidnapping more than 200 others, “wounded” the Jewish State, “but [it] didn’t fold” so that “Palestinian statehood is more remote than ever.” Meanwhile, “The Israeli response since then has caused tens of thousands of deaths in Gaza & Lebanon, including Sinwar & Hezbollah’s chief, Nasrallah, along with countless Palestinian & Lebanese civilians.” Indeed, the terrorist’s outrage “showcased Israel’s military strength, defanged the Iranian-led ‘axis of resistance’.”

That’s not to say Israel’s “brand” hasn’t been tarnished or that Palestinian aspirations haven’t captured the world’s attention as Sinwar expected. Yet, does anyone now expect a Palestinian State on the horizon as its devastated people continue to vow to first wipe Israel off the face of the planet first? Put another way, the question may be, when will wanna-be nations learn that their chances of success in the modern world are vastly improved by their leader(s) pursuing a policy in which the wolf & lamb live in peace side by side? As Isaiah foresaw: “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.”
