Independent Gabbard Sheds Democrats

You could see coming Tulsi Gabbard declaring her “Independence Day” from the Democratic Party that had trashed her 2020 presidential campaign & she unloaded a 30-minute torrent denouncing DNC as “elitist cabal” …

There does not appear to be any one event that triggered Gabbard’s high profile defection in a posted video as the mid-term elections approach. But, she clearly alluded to a whole set of circumstances telling her the Democratic Party has been “taken over” by a Bolshevik-like minority of elites. Consider this excerpt of her impassioned manifesto: “I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism.”

There’s no suggestion Gabbard is looking to become a Republican. But, she sure sounds like circumstances have transformed her in to a true blue “Independent.” It almost brings to mind the stirring words of President Whitmore rallying the troops against the invading alien crazies in “Independence Day”: “We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: ‘We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We’re going to live on!”
