Iran’s Enduring ‘Kiss Our Coattails” Message To Biden

As if a reminder was necessary, the WSJ notes “Iran Sends a Message to Biden” regarding the religious fanaticism that has dictated that country’s every move since 1979, including its nuclear arms ambitions. In short, Iran “isn’t a real democracy.” But, will Joe & other globalists ever learn?

Even “before the polls closed,” we’re told, Iran’s “new” president knew he "won" the Islamic Republic’s latest “election” with 62% of the vote locked in … well, might be just as well since, as the WSJ also noted, only candidates “approved” by the Ayatollah & his party get to campaign in the first place so that Iranians are left to vote for the “least worst” option. This time around, Chief Justice Ebrahim Raisi is the chosen one & is best know in the West for “facilitating the execution of thousands of dissidents” in 1988, then, as deputy chief justice helped prosecute & send to their death peaceful protesters during the 2009 “Green Revolution.”

Were all Iranians fooled? Of course, not. “Initial results suggest this year’s race had turnout around 50% -- down from more than 70% four years ago…[as]…millions decided to boycott this year’s election. But America’s own leaders seem as gullible as ever. President Biden & his handlers, for instance, insist upon going back to President Obama’s naïve attempt to “talk reason” with the Iranian leadership about nukes. They don’t seem to remember or realize the depth of the so-called “Iran Hostage Crisis” spanning 1979-81 in which militants seized 66 Americans at the U.S. embassy in Tehran & held 52 of them hostage for over a year…supposedly, President Jimmy Carter’s “patient diplomacy” worked in freeing them. Two score years later, the State Department calls Iran to be one of the leading state sponsors of terrorism in the world.
