Is Everyone a “middleman” in Border Crisis?

Not to plug conspiracy theories, but a HHS whistleblower telling House US govt is a “middleman” in multi-billion dollar migrant child trafficking industry rings true as she ID’ed “incentivizing” labor & border policies behind the problem…

The Wednesday hearing before the House Judiciary Subcte on Immigration, Fox News says, lived up to its billing as Tara Lee Rodas, detailed to work in the department’s Emergency Intake Site in Pomona, Ca: “I thought I was going to place children in loving homes. Instead, I discovered that children are being trafficked through a sophisticated network that begins with recruiting in their home country, smuggled to the US border & ends when [Office of Refugee Resettlement] delivers a child to a sponsor – some sponsors are criminals & traffickers & members of Transnational Criminal Organizations. … [others] … view children as commodities & assets to be used for earning income – this is why we [see] an explosion of labor trafficking.”

Democrats on the cte, of course, pointed to the partisanship involved in the GOP led hearing & one need only look at its titling, i.e., “The Biden Border Crisis: Exploitation of Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs).” Yet, lop off the first half of that headline grabber & the numbers don’t lie. According to the Customs & Border Protection stats, “the number of UACs who arrive at the border has swelled from 33,239 in fiscal year 2020 to more than 146,000 in fiscal yr 2021 & 152,000 in fiscal yr 2022. So far in fiscal yr 2023, there have been more than 70,000 encounters of unaccompanied children.” While the Dems insisted the administration is doing the best it can to meet a problem CONGRESS refuses to fix, doesn’t EVERYONE in the Swamp at some point have skin in this very ugly political gamesmanship?
