Is MLB’s Bass A Fisherman of A**?
Is MLB’s Tony Bass’ apology for forwarding a Christian video urging boycott of retailers’ with LGBTQ suds or gear campaigns a “hot steaming pile of crap” cause “even dogs are pro-pride, which makes sense [as] they’re on all-4s & always looking for ass”?
The observation was aired by Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld & his not so subtle point was this: No apology for the Blue Jays pitcher’s supposedly “hurtful” act from a real man or woman was called for or even appropriate. As the Fox News opinion argues: “MLB … opened Christians to mockery, not support.” Gutfeld suggested the MLB pitcher “better educate himself [cause his belatedly posted mea culpa] had all the sincerity of Hannibal Lecter telling his date that the ketchup is for a hot dog. Still, the player, groveled like Hunter at a strip club without his ATM card. Sad, every word of that forced apology came from the bottom of some lawyer’s shriveled black heart.”
Besides Greg’s cheap shot at us lawyers, he does ask the reasonable Q: “What did [the gutless Bass] do that was so ‘hurtful’? He shared a video, and you don’t have to agree with the video, but so what? In today’s world, if you’re a Christian & don’t want trans propaganda dangled in your face like a weighing [weeny?] pop free from a women’s swimsuit, that’s too damn bad.” You’re supposed to just shut up about it.” Gutfeld might have added that in today’s world, if you’re a Christian, you get regularly sprayed with abuse by some LGBTQ advocates as if a fire hydrant. More to the point: Bass is no Christian fisherman.
