It Doesn’t Take An Einstein To Believe

NYPD Blue’s Ricky Schroder refreshingly “leans on faith” in a woke society that tells “people they are gods” who owe their delusional existence a Higher Being. Enter the philosophical/scientific debate twixt Sartre & Einstein.

The 53-yr-old actor told Fox he recently launched the patriotic Reel American Heroes Foundation to give back to his God by inspiring others to do likewise. As just another grain of sand in our universe, he continued: “We live in a society that wants to teach people they are gods or that they’re in charge. [But he urged others to] think for yourself … do your own research [&] critical analysis. Don’t trust what people just say … Pray. If you believe in the Lord, He gives you clarity.” Doesn’t Ricky sound a lot like Mark Wahlberg & Jim Caviezel, the faces of Hollywood on the popular prayer app Hallow?

For the hell of it, I was studying the views on the existence of God via the existential philosopher Jean Paul Sartre & theoretical physicist Albert Einstein. The former maintained “science has proven God does not exist,” while the latter warned atheists not so fast, “I believe in “Spinoza’s God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists” & not “necessarily” in a God who “concerns himself with fates & actions of human beings.” Then, there’s the widely referenced Pew poll that found 51% of our scientists believe in some form of deity or higher power. Most folks of all callings posit the existence of God is not testable either by proof or disproof. Napoleon Bonaparte, a member of the French Academy of Sciences (for mathematics) addressed the debate with his academy colleagues on the “Orient” military transport ship on its way to discovering, among other things, the Rosetta Stone in Egypt. Coincidence? Under the stars one night, Napoleon urged the naysayers to simply, “Look up at the sky & tell me how they got there."
