Jews Value Life, Hamas Not So Much?
Israel’s bloody daylight raid that freed 4 Hamas hostages & cost scores of Palestinian lives by “friendly” as well as unfriendly fire was widely criticized. One local asked, “Why would the Israelis do this for just 4 people?” We know why …
The WSJ coverage included that piercing question by a Palestinian who survived the fire fight that ensued AFTER the Israeli special forces had found the hostages & alerted Hamas troops rained down bullets at them … and anyone else who got in the way. Fox News & other MSM coverage estimated civilian casualties in the hundreds. Hamas claims it was all due to Israel’s fire from jet & helicopter attacks building a “wall of fire” around their fleeing hostages & raiders. Israel said many of Hamas’ “over-estimated” casualties were from Its indiscriminate fire. We’ll probably never know the whole truth, at least, until Hollywood tells us in a “7 Days in Entebbe” like movie.
But, perhaps, at least, we can answer with some certainty that Palestinian who wondered why the “crazy” raid to save so few in the first place (who, btw, also blamed Hamas for putting hostages in the midst locals as “human shields”). Consider, sir, it has much to do with Judeo-Christian faith that historically has greatly valued the life of a single person & will give Lincoln’s “Last Full Measure of Devotion” to save it. Hamas? Maybe not so much.
