Joe’s Gas Price Playbook Runs On Empty

It’s come down to an ABSURDITY as WSJ has to ask, “Will Biden Embargo US Oil”? NO JOKE, “The White House is considering a self-defeating ban on refinery exports” that would only force more refineries to shut down & raise prices even more.

The editorial board put it this way: “Winston Churchill [is believed to have said] that Americans will do the right thing after exhausting every possibility. Alas, the Biden Administration seems intent on exhausting every bad policy to reduce gasoline prices,” except the only thing that will work aka call a truce on its War on Fossil Fuels. The latest and greatest? “Its new brainstorm is to place a ban on US refinery exports.”

The global as well as domestic implications of such a futile step are many and are best explained in the op ed. But, the short of it is this: Banning US oil exports will not only drive up gas prices in gas-starved Europe & Latin America, but force even MORE oil refineries to shut down in the US and, in the end, drive UP prices in the US even more as well. Will Joe blink? WSJ thinks he just may since OPEC recently cutting oil supplies by 2 million gallons per day made him look like a fool after begging it to increase its oil production so he could continue his War of Fossil Fuels here.
