Joe Scranton Scrapper or Lucky Chevy?

Does NY Times piece on “How Biden thinks differently” from “limousine” Democrats & why he’s running in 2024 forget (like Joe) he’s simpl(ton)ly a “1967 Corvette Convertible Dem” who doesn’t think & changes policy with polling?

The Times’ David Leonhardt writes how he’s talked to Mr. Biden & his inner circle aka “handlers” and came away convinced THEY are right in insisting the old man seek re-election despite his 80 yrs on this planet and the many Democratic worriers who think the octogenarian should check into Shady Rest.

First, the columnist says Joe is different from the McGovern Limousine Dems since he’s not an intellect (in agreement there) & identifies himself as the “Scranton Scrapper”, you know, a working class stiff like truck drivers (never mind the millionaire status he's gotten by living off the taxpayer dole most of his adult life & being anything but a working class stiff since). Second, it’s argued that Joe is “sick & tired” of “upscale liberalism” turning off much of the minority voting block they supposedly pander too, er, bribe, er, support … and, again, it’s apparently because Joe sees himself as the “Scranton Scrapper,” whatever that means. Joe told Leonhardt, “Damn it, I’m sick & tired of ordinary people being fleeced.” And yet, he, bro & son Hunter have separated more than a few dollars of ordinary folks' hard-earned money by their supposed scrapping on their behalf. Dunno. Maybe Leonhardt should say Joe is just the luckiest if not scrappiest SOB on this planet and may very well live in the WH until voted, if not carried, out.
