Judge Doesn’t Forgive Joe’s Student Debt

Joe’s DOJ “strongly disagrees” with a federal judge brutal striking down the Student Debt Forgiveness Program as an “unconstitutional exercise of Congress’s legislative power.” Appeal in works. But, don’t spend the $20K yet.

As Judge Mark Pittman of the Northern District of Texas wrote in a 26-page opinion: “No one can plausibly deny that [Joe’s forgiveness by stroke of his pen] is either one of the largest delegations of legislative power to the executive branch, or one of the largest exercises of legislative power without congressional authority in the history of the United States.” Put another way, even an Obama or a Trump let alone an FDR couldn’t have been so blind to the Constitution’s “Separation of Powers” Clause.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre vowed to “never stop fighting”, presumably for yet another pre-election hand out of up to $20,000 per student at taxpayers’ expense, and said the Swamp’s Education Dept. would keep borrowers’ applications for debt relief on the tip of their bureaucrats’ fingers so checks can go in the mail asap, i.e., assuming the appeals court gives the green light after all. Go ahead. Make our day. Wouldn’t it be fun to see how the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on this case?
