Imagine Ga Gov Kemp crushing denier Abrams, but throughout campaign took high road vs a critical Trump. Defending his solid record & expounding on Abrams’ lack of one, Kemp stayed a statesman thru-out. What a rare combo these days. A Road Map for the weary of losing?

As the WSJ article heralded: “Georgia Gov Brian Kemp’s Re-Election Overcame [well-financed] Attacks From Democrats & [a vengeful] Trump.” Observed Kemp during victory speech: “It looks like reports of my political death were greatly exaggerated.” Mr. Kemp, 59, not only won his race, it appears every other statewide Republican candidate “rode to victory on his coattails” with one exception: Senate candidate Herschel Walker, who had been weighed down with scandal.

“Being a good Christian, I believe in resurrection,” said Rusty Paul, the former longtime chairman of the Georgia Republican Party. “And, I think that’s what we just saw here.” Republican state Sen. Larry Walker said he was impressed with the governor’s “intestinal fortitude to withstand all the withering attacks” from both Democrats and pro-Trump Republicans. “They have run a pitch-perfect, textbook campaign,” added Kevin McLaughlin, former executive director of the National Republican Senatorial Cte.
