Kerry Accused Of Back-Stabbing Trump With Iranians

That Obama’s SOS John Kerry may have been “colluding” with Iran to undermine President Trump was the DC Swamp’s worst secret. But, the Washington Times Monday suggested he really did the dirty deed.

According to the paper, Biden officials, including Mr. Kerry, had meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif “to devise a political strategy to undermine the Trump administration” & ultimately get better deals for the terrorist sponsor from the U.S. when Biden became president. That supposedly promised “soft landing” for the Iranians would seem to be happening now as Mr. Biden appears bent on reviving in some fashion the Iran Nuclear Deal Obama had negotiated & that Trump had disavowed. What “sanctions” will remain in place is anyone’s guess.

Yet, the Times story is based on another anonymous “former senior official.” And there is nothing per se wrong with perpetual big shots from the Swamp like Mr. Kerry drinking Scotch with foreign dignitaries they became acquainted with when in power. There’s, of course, the 1799 Logan Act that forbids any “unauthorized” & self-appointed diplomats from pretending to represent U.S. government interests with foreign leaders. But, the law has never been successfully invoked. Most Presidents have simply ignored alleged back-stabbers. Lincoln was perhaps the most skilled at Biblically looking the other way during the Civil War, no matter how exasperating his fellow citizens calling themselves “Confederates” could be. Abe mostly would tell anecdotal stories of how such suspected turncoats were only succeeding in digging a ditch for themselves and he’d be pleased as punch to grease the sides with a blind eye so’s one day they’d gently slide into it.
