King Kennedy Is Dead, Long Live RFK Jr

Clay Travis opined that “When the Democrats lose a Kennedy, they’ve lost the plot." In this case, the lost soul being Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who endorsed Donald Trump & the plot being the Dems’ PR Camelot schtick that kept on giving … until now.

That’s because “in the space of a few sentences, Kennedy erased four days of speeches at the DNC.” In fact, in brutally frank lingo Dems usually hurl at GOPers, the best-known surviving Kennedy ripped the president and everyone below him for pulling every dirty, if legal, trick in the book to keep him off primary ballots across the nation. The mocking of his policy ideas hurt, too, of course. But Kennedy was clearly disturbed most by what he saw was the undemocratic hypocrisy of a few party leaders who appointed themselves to literally censor him and his candidacy.

Consider what the DNC still owes to the Kennedys. Not that they should keep bowing to the Boston Royals who literally dragged Martin Luther King & the Civil Rights Movement into the DNC orbit & which became the crowning jewel in their party platform since. But, damn, you’d think they’d at least give the son of Robert and nephew to John, who were among the first in the Swamp to show real respect to MLK in 1961, a decent burial.
