Life Expectancy Nose Dives As Does Grape Nuts Cereal

So, the “US life expectancy drops a year in pandemic, most since WWII”? I’m chewing on that as I wolf down my daily bowl of Kellogg’s All-Bran Buds & fruit du jour.

Fox News rightly says the one-year loss of an entire year’s presence on earth rather than Heaven during the first half of 2020 alone…“staggering.” Naturally, “the coronavirus pandemic caused its first wave of deaths.” Worse yet, minorities were hit the hardest in that Black Americans lost almost THREE years & Hispanics TWO. The “preliminary” stats were provided by the Centers from Disease Control. While its docs and other health experts say Covid-19 is the main culprit, they suggest increased mortality was also due to related high risk conditions like heart disease, being overweight, suffering from diabetes, and even simply being in bad physical shape. Perhaps delayed cancer & other treatments also factored in?

That’s why I’m eating up the ultra-healthy Kellogg Buds instead of my usual favorite whole grain ‘n fiber cereal, Grape Nuts, which suddenly disappeared from most grocery store shelves about 2 months ago. (Post Cereals says it will be weeks still before it can manufacture, then, restock depleted store shelves.) Just as important as mask wearing & social distancing is my regimen of exercise with long walks each day with my Ruby Cavalier King Charles. Closely watching & limiting the daily intake of calories seems key, too, but without forgetting to follow a BALANCED diet (which INCLUDES a daily treat desert). This is war, folks. And, the CDC’s dis-heartening life expectancy numbers prove it.
