Lincoln Cringing At Gutless Jan 6 Cte?

Jan 6 cte’s shameful one-sided kangaroo court trying to criminally charge Trump for being a sore loser gives timely meaning to Lincoln’s famous warning that in politics “the statute of limitations must be short”.

Abe, of course, was being honest as well as realistic about how unmitigated REVENGE often rearing its ugly head when one Party and/or its leader loses power to another. In Lincoln’s case & for good reason, he used that line in refusing to indict the back-stabbing cabinet member, Salmon Chase, for alleged war time financial indiscretions, even elevated him to Chief Justice since it was “for the good of the country”. Now, the WSJ editors note, the Jan. 6 Cte’s shameful refusal to release the full transcript of Trump’s WH attorney, Pat Cipollone, is arguably proof in Abe’s pudding. Perhaps, the editors suggest, the tape contains inconvenient details that undercut the Cte’s choreographed, cherry-picked “evidence” against No. 45.

Concludes the WSJ: “The point of the Jan. 6 inquiry should be to get to the truth. The American people deserve to know. The committee is free to spend however long it wants making its best argument about hoe the dots connect. But partial disclosure of witness and other testimony is a disservice to the country. Give us the facts, and that means access to transcripts of all the testimony, including Mr. Cipollone’s.”
