Little Old Lady Who Lives on Social Security

As Trump vows to end double taxation on Social Security “benefits,” I’m amazed at how miserly much of the MSM & social media commentary has been on those supposed “benefits” that can be barely enough to feed & house a little old lady who lives in a shoe.

Has anyone simply checked the Social Security benefits chart and how much retirees actually receive per year? Some might say it’s a pittance for most. Yet, no less than the WSJ editorial board bitched about how “unaffordable” and “anti-growth” such a “tax break” would be. Many progressives pile on by quoting think tank & government figures that supposedly prove Trump’s idea would cost the US Treasury “billions” of dollars, as if those same progressives don’t laud the many Biden-Harris green subsidies, student loan forgiveness & God knows what other federal handouts that helped swell the national debt to $35 TRILLION.

And, all the while, I’ve yet to see or hear a single voice (other than here) suggesting this latest Trump tax cut idea could be crafted to mostly favor that little old lady who lives in a shoe. Come to think of it, Mr. Trump himself hasn’t seized on that possible detail.
