Manchin Flips Bird At Trump & Joe’s BBB

Dem Joe Manchin’s endorsement of GOP incumbent in primary alone was remarkable, but calling opponent’s accusation of supporting Biden’s Build Back Better boondoggle a “lie” … just because he voted for the $1.2T infrastructure bill … more so.

“I have always said, if I can’t go home and explain it, I can’t vote for it, and that’s why I opposed Build Back Better,” Fox News noted Manchin said in a 30-second tv spot this weekend. And, “For [primary opponent] Alex Mooney and his out-of-state supporters to suggest [Rep.] David McKinley supported Build Back Better [which he and Manchin voted against] is an outright lie. David McKinley has always opposed reckless spending because it doesn’t make sense for West Virginia.”

The plot thickens by the day. Both McKinley & Mooney are in the U.S. House but fighting for the same seat since redistricting changed the state’s Congressional map in a way that pits the two against one another. As it happens, former President Trump backs Mooney in the race, while former No. 45’s Sec of State Mike Pompeo endorsed McKinley. Meanwhile, CNN thinks Mooney is going to run for Manchin’s Senate seat next time around. Will Joe still go for the other Joe’s BBB 2.0 now being “renegotiated” for the umpteenth time to try and get it enacted before the mid-term debacle flips control of the House & Senate?
