Manchin Taken 4 Permit Promise Ride?

I knew Dems would cheap shot Manchin & dis any “promise” to help his state’s fossil industry in return for vote on Biden’s tax, climate & IRS bill when I saw pic of Schumer staring at his crotch rather than shake hands.

The WSJ knows. At least, I think it does after reading the editorial board’s “Permitting Reform? ‘I Didn’t Shake Hands.’ – House Democrats are already casting doubt on Manchin’s deal.” The sad story summarized: “Now that President Biden has signed his party’s [progressive spending spree] bill, Sen. Joe Manchin’s narrative is that a grateful Democratic Congress will move to repay his vote with [fossil fuel] permitting reforms. That’s what party leaders promised, he says. Yet the West Virginia Senator’s leverage is already gone.” And, the party’s radical Left is wasting no time warning Chuck to see, hear and remember no such deal to give Manchin his permitting payoff.

For instance, hardly had the champaign been dispensed than Dem Rep. Raul Grijalva and other party colleagues said they feel “no obligation” to honor any under the table agreement with Manchin. “I didn’t shake hands,” Grijalva told the Hill newspaper. “I wasn’t part of the negotiations.” So, the WSJ asks, how exactly can Mountain Man Manchin collect? Especially, if the rad wing of his party won’t support it in follow up legislation or other gov’t slight of hand? WSJ wonders, then, whether Manchin and his West Va constituents were taken for a ride? Does a crotch kick hurt?
