Mandate Be Damned, Demon Dems Demand No Border

WSJ columnist Jason Riley may have missed the point in his “Democrats Are Fooling Themselves on Immigration [Mandate].” May we suggest, the Dems don’t care whether they have a citizens’ mandate after the 2020 election. Rather, to them, the border crisis is about “ID Politics, Stupid.”

That’s right. The more crisis along the southern border, the easier the Dems think it will be to justify their House majority’s draconian, one-sided “solution” to the broken immigration system…always with a long-term eye on reaping MORE VOTES from “grateful” (& more easily influenced) immigrants for themselves down the road.

Still, of course, Mr, Riley is correct in reminding “voters didn’t always like Trump’s tone” on immigration reform, “but they broadly supported his strategy at the border.” The question is whether those voters who liked Mr. Trump’s immigration policies are fed up enough with the demonizing Dems to give the GOP a House majority again in 2022.
