Marie, Good Kids CAN Handle Inheritance

Marie Osmond is latest celeb to double down on NOT leaving an inheritance to her kids saying “self-worth can’t be bought.” Q: If you raised your kids right, doesn’t biggest danger of “spoiling them rotten” involve the grandkids?

As the Fox News report notes, “Aston Kutcher & Daniel Craig are among those celebs echoing Marie’s belief about not leaving their children an inheritance.” Not that she doesn’t help them out financially along the way. But, as the 64-year-old singer & actress worth about $20 million told Fox: “I just think you rob them of finding who they are … I believe that, when I leave this life, I want my children to know that they can take care of themselves.”

And yet, one wonders. Assuming Marie’s been a loving, caring & diligent mother to her 8 kids from 3 marriages, doesn’t she know “who they are” by now? She says they all have great careers & enjoy what they’re doing. So, won’t THEY handle all that dough as responsibly as mom? In the experience of my own 4 kids who also have great careers & are wise as well as ambitious with their earnings, I have no doubt what’s so ever they’ll make good whatever I can leave them upon my ending. Ain’t I worried about the grandkids being spoiled by living in “luxury”? No. I trust my kids will raise them as properly as I tried to raise uno, duo, tres & quatro. Jus’ sayin’.
