Mayorkas ‘No Brainer’ Rap Impeachable?

Is DHS Sec. Mayorkas a good bet to be impeached after mid-terms as GOPers are calling him everything from “incompetent” to “traitor” for allegedly not addressing border crisis & for claiming White Supremacists are No. 1 threat to democracy without naming one?

As Fox News noted, the cabinet member last week during a Congressional hearing “failed to name a case of domestic terrorism that his department has referred” to DOJ. When pressed by Rep. Greg Steube for the basic stat, Mayorkas punted to a later date when he’d dig it up. He’s apparently still waiting.

Said Steube later of his exchange with Mayorkas: “Despite claiming domestic terrorism is the No. 1 threat to the homeland, [Secretary Mayorkas] can’t name a single case that he referred from DHS to DOJ for white supremacy or domestic terrorism.” Well, maybe national security considerations would naturally make the Secretary leery of divulging specifics … yet, the number that should come to mind immediately without identifying actual cases is asking too much?
