Mexico’s Murderous Election Not Quite Portland But…

Fox reports “Mexico midterm elections see severed heads, grenades, poll worker murders.” And you thought gamesmanship on election night was tough in the US?

Let’s just hope the murdered poll workers weren’t asking for voters’ ID cards, which the radical Democrats here have suggested is a violation of human rights (although, not when trying to enter a Democratic convention). Whatever. The gruesome tally south of the border is said to be estimated at “97 politicians killed and 935 attacked nationwide.” But note, it’s radicals of ALL stripes doing the ugly deeds. For instance, Erik Ulises Ramirez, said to be a left-wing candidate, “survived an assassination attempt” and said “two of his allies had been kidnapped, beaten and released by Sunday’s voting.” How kind of the thugs. Meanwhile, the BBC says “five polling station workers had been killed on the eve of voting” in Chiapas. And, local cops found “plastic bags filled with body parts in Tijuana near a voting station” after a man “lobbed a severed head into the same voting station.”

The sick behavior goes on… Ironically, “one of the major issues” among voters is the current Lopez Administration’s “inability to curb rampant crime in the country.” But, are we talking about Tijuana & Chiapas or Portland & Seattle?
