Moore BS in 2000 Mules Than A Cow Chip?
Conservatives make same mistake Liberals do when exaggerating or lying about political opponents, then, dance around their dance as the makers of “2000 Mules” are accused of doing times 2000 ala docu-trasher Michael Moore.
As the WSJ op ed “2000 Mules but No Evidence” opines, “True the Vote stiff-arms law enforcement as it faces a defamation” lawsuit. But, regardless of that litigation’s outcome brought by an individual depicted in the movie, isn’t the real damage to the organization & those who buy into, its conspiracy theory(ies)? As the editors noted for example: “President Trump keeps insisting the 2020 election was stolen, & in a recent interview he referred to the group True the Vote, saying ‘they have people stuffing the ballot boxes on tapes.’ This was the thesis of the movie ‘2000 Mules,’ but then why is True the Vote refusing to work with law enforcement?” Mr. Trump, of course, only sets himself up for a hoax charge ala the liberals did to themselves in the Russian Collusion hoax & after two miserably failed impeachment efforts. Same largely goes for the Senate's Justice Kavanaugh bashers.
Enter Michael Moore, whom many liberals seem to adore for his “documentaries” that are arguably op eds hawking his cynical personal opinions on whatever, mixed in with a salad of facts to get a rise out of a leftist audience … and its money. Not that Moore doesn’t have a right to his quest to, as Collider put it: “… raise cultural awareness” on important issues of our day” including “left-wing mediations on corruption, workers’ rights, the prison industrial complex, & gun culture.” But, tossing out cheap shots on the big screen won’t cut it in the long run with most folks, at least, not without backing them up with evidence that'll stand up in court.
