Newsom Turns Green With Nuke Power?

So, green-obsessed Ca Gov Newsom aka “Governor Moonbeam 2.0” suddenly shifts gears faster than Kerry changes Armageddon’s arrival date by extending life of state’s last nuke power plant to avoid energy meltdown?

You might recall, in its similar rush to “transition” to alt-energy sources, Germany recently also “delayed” the shutting down of its 3 remaining nuclear power plants as its natural gas supply supplied by the Russian is being shut off. California, of course, doesn’t have Putin & his War in Ukraine to blame for the sudden backslide to nuclear (as well as fossil fuel energy) so as to avoid rationing and/or blackouts as winter approaches. But, even Newsom now concedes, nuke power is still needed to “maintain reliable power supplies” for the Golden State beyond the last nuke plant’s scheduled closing once set in stone as 2025.

The irony noted by Fox Business: “Newsom’s executive order comes after California lawmakers last week moved to require all new vehicles in the state to run on electricity by 2035.” The State is also telling “drivers to stop charging cars” to help avoid blackouts after enacting that gas vehicle ban. Wonder what odds Las Vegas is giving that “etched in legislative stone” date will get a new date?
