No McGlaughlin, CNN’s Harwood Term(ited)

Score one more TD for Old School Journalism as CNN continues its shake up of its “polarizing” pundits pretending to be reporters by canning John Harwood who shook down viewers with biased WH reports.

MSNBC & the White House being upset over Harwood’s departure from the Clinton News Network shows how concerned they’ve become after recent Cuomo & Stelter exits. Joe is especially appreciative, Fox notes, after the liberal WH Correspondent defended No. 46 over the Hunter Biden laptop scandal as well as his notorious influence peddling while Joe was VP. Said a grave Harwood on “New Day”: Hunter Biden has had a “difficult life.” Meanwhile, Harwood was arguably worth millions in DNC advertising by “often taking on the role of a liberal pundit despite his correspondent title, blasting former President Trump and Republicans” and otherwise “mouthing Democratic talking points.”

NYU journalism prof Jay Rosen complained Harwood is the “second public sacrifice” at CNN’s parent Warner Bros Discovery, candidly now seeking to “tamp down spectacle” its progressive stable of anchors. “Left Anchor” podcast host Ryan Cooper asked, So, John got sacked for forthrightly stating what the Trump movement is, do I have that right?” One answer: John (and you) had the right to share his OPINION bashing Trump & the 70 million who voted for him in 2020, but as a private citizen on his personal Facebook account, not as a political hack pretending to be an unbiased journalist on a fake national “news” broadcast. Might all self-righteous Harwoods be required to watch old episodes of “The MacLaughlin Group” to understand what fair & balanced journalism looks like?
