Overturning Roe Won’t Sink Abortion Meccas
As Sen. Biden pushed to overturn Roe v Wade but over half the nation still wants a 15-wk limit to abortions, WSJ's “map” shows laws in blue states will keep liberal policies in place, even if Supreme Court listens to “old” Joe after all.
Many of the estimated 63 million abortions executed these last 50 years is wrongly assigned to Roe v Wade, the WSJ editorial board recently suggested, since by 1973 many states … as well as public opinion … had widely liberalized societal views on abortion. Yet, even that carnage was not enough for the radical elements who most recently want to further bastardize the Constitution by arguing even late term if not post-birth abortions were somehow “protected” by our Founding Fathers. Now, a new Fox News poll says, at least a small majority of America has seen through the extremists’ baloney that the Supreme Court has identified in its “draft” opinion and now expected to overturn Roe v Wade … BUT … leaving it up to the 50 states on the ground rules going forward as the Founding Fathers really had intended.
Only God knows where all this is leading us. But, the Justices & more reasoned voices amidst all the angst on both sides of the abortion debate are pointing out the one certain reality: Even without the obnoxious, de-humanizing Roe v Wade opinion, abortions & abortion law (including all other "precedents") will remain as is in such abortion meccas as LA, SF, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit, DC, Baltimore, Philly & NY.
