PC Baptisms Needed To Miraculously Avoid Hell?
A Phoenix bishop reportedly suggests thousands may be in danger of missing out on heaven (or stuck in purgatory if already passed away) because the parish priest who baptized them in the last 10 yrs said “We” instead of “I” when invoking the Trinity & applying the Holy Oil. Baptism is considered a requirement to wash away mankind's Original Sin, Fox News noted, and only "God" or "I" and not a "Community" or "We" can say the incantation. A single word, then, in the bishop's (and Church's?) mind can apparently make God and His Angels refuse you know what at the Pearly Gate. So, there's presumably going to be a scrambling to say the magic words again for those still able to be contacted & living. Without commenting on Fox News (messenger) or that bishop (Grim Reaper), what was it Jesus said about “Pharisee Yeast”?
To quote Mark quoting the “deeply sighing” Messiah after being questioned by Pharisees on how He had fed the 5K, then, 4K with a few loaves of bread as well as His own Disciples afterward worrying about how to divvy up a single loaf of bread among them:
“Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?” [Twelve] And when I broke the seven loave for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up? [Seven] Do you still not understand?”
