Police Exodus Crisis & Our Own Demons

As officers are ditching their jobs at a rate “never seen before,” it boggles the mind how foolishly radical progressives in the “Defund the Police Movement” have risked public safety with George Soros’ blessing & $$$ …

No, really, the Fox News coverage was right in suggesting the “police exodus crisis” is mind boggling. Some departments, we’re told, are seeing decreases by “as many as hundreds of members.” Added Nat’l Fraternal Order of Police Pres. Patrick Yoes: “Our profession is dependent on the best and brightest stepping up and taking this job. And because of the actions, and because of the turmoil that has happened in the last two years, we have a crisis right now in manpower.”

Mr. Yoes didn’t have to name names. But, we know. Instead of increasing police resources for more recruiting based on merit, better training & reasonable review of protocols, the latest in technology, and so on, we’ve seen one big city controlled by radical progressive pols and activists implement the exact opposite … as “more than 210 police officers have been shot in the line of duty so far this year, up 14% from the same time last year … while homicides in big cities have surged by 50% since 2019.” “Unfortunately,” Yoes concluded “… America’s law enforcement has been demonized by many … and, we’re paying for it.” Is it time to exorcise ourselves of our own demons within?
