Pro-Abortion Lancet Cuts Own Throat?

The WSJ says The Lancet cut its own throat for trying to “politicize science,” thereby discrediting it and its MSM comrades even more than the Covid fiasco, but also for pretending it has “expertise in American law.”

The editorial board was uncharacteristically brutal in its review of colleagues at another pub: “The public’s confidence in scientific institutions has suffered greatly during Covid-19 as lockdowns & mask mandates outlived the underlying evidence. Don’t expect that to improve as an ostensibly prestigious medical journal tries to politicize medicine with an editorial denouncing Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito … [who supposedly] … has blood on his hands …” because he wrote a draft opinion (that was leaked by some creep) overturning a precedent as bad or worse than the one in the Civil War Era’s Dred Scott case. Then, The Lancet had the gall to argue Justice Alito’s righting a 50-year-old wrong was based on “an 18thCentury document – you know, the US Constitution.”

Reminded the WSJ: “The Lancet is trying to lend the imprimatur of science to an American legal and political debate. But the journal will damage the pro-abortion cause if the public starts to dismiss medical expertise as merely another vehicle for the progressive agenda.”
