Probes Don’t Mean Thing If He Don’t Swing

GOP promising probes into Hunter’s laptop, DOJ’s 2b standards, Fauci’s conflicts & open border policy. Congressional investigations ok but are limited in value if they lack teeth aka actual prosecutions and/or firings …

As the WSJ notes, the GOP laundry list of gripes needing responses with teeth is growing as the midterm elections near and IF & WHEN it takes back control over Congress. That’s still a big IF. And, even if Congress is pried from the Dems, the WH & the massive bureaucratic swamp answering to it are still controlled, at least, theoretically, for two more years until the next presidential election.

That being the case, don’t count on the Biden DOJ to prosecute Hunter let alone Fauci or the FBI’s leaders who curiously have tunnel vision when it comes to finding political crimes. On the other hand, the paper’s editors note, “one goal” for an empowered Republican Party will be “to attempt to push officials out of office … at the top of the list is Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas … a resolution to impeach him on a charge of failing to secure the border currently already has the public support of 32 Republicans.” Another goal, we’re told, will be to simply make life so miserable for the agencies & their progressive leaders that they will have less time to launch more harmful initiatives like a “zero net” transition to “clean” energy when the technology still isn’t available & a financial crisis is roiling global markets. Meanwhile, “the WH has bolstered its legal team in anticipation of possible investigations.
