Putin Deluded Self On NATO, Finland & Sweden

While Putin says his critical WH counterpart has “dementia”, the Russian may himself be delusional to have thought his Ukraine invasion would divide NATO & keep Finland & Sweden from joining it.

In the WSJ’s “Vladimir Putin’s Gift to NATO,” the editors argue that the man’s brutal thrust into his neighbor has boomeranged on him. So much so, that not only has the US-Europe alliance “been energized” but is “now set to expand” with membership applications expected from Putin’s northern neighbors in the coming days. Maybe the globalists & elitists in Finland & Sweden who have insisted on being “neutral” vis a vis Russia will still block the growing popular demand for those countries to get real & join NATO … or else, risk getting levelled one day ala Ukraine. But WSJ doubts it.

As the editors concluded in any event: “This is a reminder that the bloc’s [existence as well as] growth is in response to – and not the cause of – Russia’s aggression,” which had been cynically, bogusly claimed by Putin as the reason for his Ukraine adventure.
