Putin Puts Pistol To Ronald’s Puss As Joe Pushes Pablum?

Could one reason West’s sanctions may not stop Putin’s invasion be that he wants Ukraine’s rich wheat fields & all McDonald’s outlets in Russia, if not roil the US economy, more? Is Putin signing law to seize foreign planes the beginning?

Western gov’ts of course have thrown an array of economic sanctions against Russia (altho not the most crippling ones against its energy industry) while their companies say they are “pulling out” of it like fleas getting away from a dog’s Hartz 4-in-1 collar. But, what if Putin either doesn’t care or wants them to do all that largely PR fussing as yet another excuse to stomp on Ukraine cities & gobble up the surrounding farmland? Ban imports of Russian oil when the mostly token move makes bad inflation in the USA worse by shrinking an already shrunken supply (thanks to Joe’s war on fossil fuels), while paving the way for Russia to open new markets in China, India & the Middle East? Partially deprive Russians of access to the Western banking system, thereby potentially undermining the heretofore unquestioned global dominance of the US dollar as Russkies & ally PRC turn to “alt” currencies? Confiscate Russian oligarchs’ yachts in Venice & Cannes so those oligarchs are even more dependent on the dictator’s kindness?

Even before the new airplane law, WSJ reported “Russian Prosecutors Warn Western Companies of Arrests, Asset Seizures.” Apparently, “McDonald’s, Coke, P&G & IBM are among those warned its corporate leaders could be arrested & trademarks seized” for “criticizing” Putin or withdrawing from Russia. Each threat should be taken seriously. Besides blatant bribery & extortion, it is what dictators, fascists & communists have done throughout history. And, these Russian thugs who are familiar with all of the above won’t be convinced of their wayward ways by taking away their Happy Meals.
