Red Biden Throws Herring At US Solar Mfrs?

Does Joe ala Hunter show true color’s RED as he throws US solar panel mfrs under bus by “pausing” Trump’s tariffs on Asian imports while Commerce decides if CPR mfrs are re-routing operations via Southeast Asia sites?

Biden mouthpieces are trying to sell the move as part of No.45’s “anti-inflation” plan. But, as the WSJ notes, the WH was expected to announce as early as Monday it won’t impose new tariffs on solar imports for 2 yrs to get “stalled [progressive] solar-power projects on track”. While the editors think the decision is a “win” for US solar developers & utilities” making money on those efforts, as well as the Chinese-Asian manufacturers supplying them, they say it’s a ”loss” for US manufacturers trying to build up a domestic supply chain.

Mind you, the Biden plan comes after the Commerce Dept. launched an investigation into whether Chinese solar producers are illegally circumventing solar tariffs by routing operations through Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. (Da. As if for decades Asian countries haven’t been known to also be illegally “dumping” their steel products in the US, thereby undercutting our domestic producers year after year?) The so-called “pause” does provide for “retroactive” penalties should the obvious be revealed as expected. Yet, Chairman Xi will surely be “grateful” for Joe’s reprieve in the hopes time (and interest rates) are on his nation’s side. And, while California Gov. Moonbeam II aka Galvin Newsom is also reportedly happy with Joe’s move, not so much the solar panel manufacturers moving out of the state.
