Red Hackers Love USA’s Green Energy

How amazing is it that ballyhooed “solutions” can create bigger “problems” as suggested by Kim Strassel’s column titled, “How Green Energy Makes Us Vulnerable to Cyberattack.” Of course. Any juvenile hacker could have told us that.

As Kim notes, “EVs & other digital-controlled products open extra access to the grid, which enemies can exploit.” In a fanciful mood, the columnist waxed: Imagine if “China launches an amphibious attack on Taiwan. The US responds with a missile attack to sink Chinese ships. Within minutes, California is plunged into darkness, followed by New York & Washington. Electric trucks around America start crashing into other vehicles. This may seem far-fetched, but government climate policies are making it easier for the Chinese Communist Party to wage a multifront cyberattack.”

In a rare fit of candor, even Team Biden is raising alarms about how America’s many global enemies could exploit electric vehicles the Biden Administration is now ironically trying to mandate without any demonstrable climate benefit. Add to that the many “chargers & rooftop solar systems,” Kim suggests, “to wreak havoc on the homeland.” Not a pretty green picture, huh?
