RNC Douses Pres Debates, Sets Lib Pundits Hair On Fire

About time GOP balked at playing ball on alleged “unlevel playing field” with Commission on Presidential Debates that it thinks has been in the pocket of biased MSM, academia, coastal elites & Swamp bureaucracy? Are we seeing Lib Pundits panicking at being called out?

It would seem so. As Fox News reported, “liberals in the media are sounding the alarm over the Republican National Committee’s threat to boycott [future] debates sponsored by the Commission … which has organized the presidential and the vice-presidential debates for over three decades”. In a letter to the Commission, the RNC said it had enough “stonewalling” over suggested reforms to ensure “fair & nonpartisan” treatment of its candidates … for example, balanced questioning from its strangely left-leaning panels … and would require its candidates to swear off participating in the Commission debates if they still want to be called Republican. The Commission gave an unresponsive “sticks and stones” kind of statement, saying individual candidates, not the RNC, get to decide whether to participate in its shows. Whatever.

On cue, many in MSM characterized RNC's threat as a toothless bluff at best, cowardice at worse. Wondered Joy Behar, “The View’s” paragon of bipartisan virtue: “Are they afraid that their candidates can’t keep up? More articulate than “Hair on Fire” Behar, Bloomberg columnist Tim O’Brien noticed “another example of Republicans’ antipathy toward public institutions & civic processes leading them to just...walk away.” And Boston Globe’s Kimberly Stohr: “I’m old enough to remember when presidential candidates tried to win by convincing voters they had the best ideas & plans.” Here, here! Many of us are also old enough to recall when no politician backed by MSM types like these seriously tried to label half the country as racist, stack the Supreme Court, or change centuries old Senate rules as soon as they don’t get their way …
