Rove Rages at Testy Trump & Father Time

We feel your pain, Karl Rove. The Fox pundit gnashes his teeth as “Trump Acts as if He Has Time to Waste,” attacks Harris & groans about Haitians eating cats, but really needs to show he can lick Nat’l debt, save Social Security & bring peace on earth before Christmas.

As Rove ranted, “After Ms. Harris replaced Joe Biden in late July, Mr. Trump complained she hadn’t sat down for media interviews. “She’s not smart enough,” he said … Mr. Trump also spent days complaining Ms. Harris hadn’t gone through any primaries, making her selection undemocratic … and whined it was ‘not fair.’” He even complained “on & on” that Ms. Harris hadn’t laid out her agenda. Then, he “chewed up more valuable time whining that Ms. Harris had changed her positions on fracking, the Green New Deal, the abolition of private health insurance & other progressive nostrums.”

Ironically, Rove himself whines in Trumpian fashion, “Ms. Harris has been content to let Mr. Trump fritter away the past 8 week on these ridiculous attacks (think Haitians in Ohio)” as well as “mountains of minutiae & over-the-top rhetoric” … without ever “drilling down on real issues in a sustained way” and spell out his OWN second term agenda so that swing voters will swing his way, not Harris’s. Meanwhile, “time isn’t his friend” as election day is only 7 weeks away. Fortunately for him, Rove gasps, “for all Mr. Trump’s errors she’s up only 3 points in FiveThirtyEight’s national average.” Translated, Independent voters who will likely decide who is the next president also haven’t been very impressed with  Harris’ performance. For some reason, he reasons, BOTH seem happy to lap up the adulation they are getting from the echo chambers their conservative & progressive bases predictably give them.  An exhausted Rove concludes, “let’s see who makes best use of the days they have left.”
