Saban Genius & MSM’s ‘Rat Poison’ Fueled SEC Win?

Fox noted “Alabama’s Nick Saban thanks skeptics for ‘positive rat poison’ after [team’s 41-24] SEC title win” over No. 1 Georgia, but doesn’t the coach's unflappable psyche ala the AFLAC duck also highlight his genius in turning the “PRT” into “PMA”?

All year long, closely-watched media outlets like ESPN noted how the sports aficionados and even Alabama faithful were criticizing Mr. Saban & his Crimson Tide for losing one game (Texas A&M) and not always crushing their opponents as in the past. Meanwhile Georgia had beaten the once-mighty Clemson Tigers by 7 points and pounded almost everyone else on their schedule to secure the rankings poll position … until the Alabama game. “I think what these guys really wanted to gain was more respect,” the legendary coach told ESPN in a post-game interview.

What? Alabama’s No. 3 ranking going into the game (now AP’s No. 1) was chopped liver? The master motivator continued with more salt in the supposed wound: It’s “not just the fact that [we] were underdogs, because I think we had a tremendous amount of respect for Georgia [whom we, frankly, stomped] ... But you guys gave us a lot of really positive rat poison. The rat poison that you usually give us is usually fatal, but the rat poison that you put out there this week was yummy.” Burp?
