Schooled NY Times Confesses Fake News Over Science?

Fox News got a kick out of a New York Times columnist suggesting anti-Trump sentiment, not science, was behind Dems’ school closure mania. As the story goes, the Times is getting frustrated that its own allies in the teachers’ unions’ leadership are doing everything they can to stall re-opening of the schools, even though Mr. Biden is now president.

The columnist lamented a “tragedy we haven’t adequately confronted.” He goes on to concede, “Many Democrats seemed to be more suspicious of in-person schooling last summer when President Donald Trump called for it,” adding, “We shouldn’t let ourselves be driven by ideology rather than science.” No kidding. But, wait. Weren’t last summers’ NY Times editorials blatantly “suspicious of in-person schooling last summer when President Donald Trump called for it”?

My take: This op ed is really a confession by the NY Times that IT (the ultimate Never Trumpers), as well as other left-leaning MSM outlets, were another key driving force behind the school shutdowns, the science be damned. If so, 1K Our Fathers, 10K Hail Marys.
