Seller Cuban A Shark In POTUS Waters?

No communist, our maverick Cuban is selling his NBA tram in Texas to a maga Trump billionaire widow. Shark Tank-like move to White House? Nah …

As the WSJ reported, “One week before the NBA touches down in Las Vegas for the final of its inaugural in-Season Tournament, Sin City has forged another link to the hardwood. The family of the late casino mogul Sheldon Adelson has agreed to buy a majority stake in the Dallas Mavericks from entrepreneur Mark Cuban, a source familiar with the deal said Tuesday.” There’s no indication yet as to why Cuban would bail after a successful 23-year run with the Mavs he built into an annual contender (most of the time). But. It’s not hard to read between the lines that the billionairess (worth maybe $30B) made Cuban an “offer he couldn’t refuse.” No pun intended.

Perhaps ironically, Cuban’s political views are said to “lean toward libertarianism” rather than Trumpism, the man behind of whom he appears to detest when telling CNN No. 45 is “bats*** crazy”. He’s flirted with running for president himself over the years & has blasted the 2-party system for enabling “extreme views.” Yet, Cuban has recently told the third-party folks at “No Labels” he’s not interested in a White House run in 2024. But, that doesn’t mean 2028 isn’t now in his sights. As one unidentified “friend” told Texas Monthly, “Right now [Mark’s] decided to sit back & let the Trump era play out … But, don’t worry, we’ll hear … a lot from him. There’s no way Mark can stay quiet for very long.” Tell that to co-Shark Tank host Mr. Wonderful.
