Silence Met Uvalde Shooter’s Weird Behavior

Texas officials now say the Uvalde shooter was driven by social media fame & notable “abhorrent behavior,” as in carrying dead cats around with him, went unreported, unchecked for months. How’s that possible in a small town?

According to those testifying at a recent special state Senate hearing on the Uvalde elementary school mass shooting, it was common knowledge among the town’s 17K residents that the 18-yr-old gunman was abusing animals and one “scared” teacher noted he had begun “dressing like a school shooter.” As reported by Fox and during his testimony, Col. Steve McCraw, director of the Texas Dept of Public Safety, also said social media ‘’and the lure of instant worldwide notoriety” may have at least helped motivate Salvador Ramos to commit the unmentionable acts at Robb Elementary School on May 24, leaving 19 children and two teachers dead.

Mr. McCraw has interviewed hundreds of residents and noted the “revelations from at least a half dozen individuals of Ramos’ increasingly weird behavior but never reported it to law enforcement or school district personnel beforehand. Again, how could that be?
