Sold Out Wolverines Shuts Down In Person Classes?
As Covid cases, even deaths, continue almost unabated due to latest “less dangerous” but more “transmissible” Covid strains, we see more lockdown insanity in U of Michigan’s selling tickets to its sold out b-ball arena while shutting down in-person learning.
Michigan U is hardly alone in continuing to profit from its sports extravaganza with an average of 14,797 attendees; pro sports as well as plenty of other universities give a thumbs up to Joe Biden’s panoply of mandated anti-virus measures while holding out another hand from its customers. And, as Fox News notes, Michigan U is experiencing a “surge” in on campus Covid cases; as a result, it is requiring “proof of vaccination” & enforcing some social distancing rules for those shelling out to see the Wolverines play another school.
Yet, as one rival Michigan State University student said, it’s “wildly hypocritical” for Michigan U to hold basketball games at 100% capacity, but force students to attend classes online. Give that poli sci major an “A”.
