Stubborn Joe & Eternal Student Loan

Stubborn, die-hard politicians are arguably a bain to the Pax Populi as evidenced by way of example from Trump’s refusal to concede 2020 & Biden’s “Eternal Emergency” on his court-blocked $420B student loan cancellation.

As the WSJ recently noted, the Biden Administration AGAIN “canceled tens of billions of more [taxpayer] dollars in student debt on the sly by extending its payment and interest moratorium for the umpteenth time.” In fact, the paper wrote, despite several courts declaring Joe’s unilateral, extra-Congressional ploy illegal under the Constitution AND the likelihood an appeal to the US Supreme Court will likewise chastise him, “Who knows if or when borrowers will have make payments again” and take the taxpayers off the hook.

Biden of course is stubbornly holding out hope of a High Court reversal of those earlier injunctions on the ground that COVID is still a national emergency, his now old declaration that the pandemic is “over” notwithstanding. But, Joe, don’t hold your breath the Justices are going to kiss your butt on this one. Borrowers, get ready to pay up eventually, as the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals just became the latest higher court to REJECT Biden’s plea to reinstate his program shot down earlier by a trial judge on those eternally stubborn constitutional grounds ...
