Stupid Dems & Evil Reps Keep Lincoln’s House Divided

Charles Krauthammer pegged our political divisions by saying most Republicans think Democrats are stupid & most Dems think Reps are evil. He might have said the same about the stupid Socialists & evil Capitalists among us. The Bible already said it for him …

For instance, in Proverbs’ advice on how to “avoid bad company,” we’re warned: “My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them. If they say, ‘Come along with us; lets lie in wait for someone’s blood … throw in your lot with us & we will share a common purse’ … my son, do not go along with them … for their feet rush into sin, they are swift to shed blood. How useless to spread a net in full view of all the birds. These men lie in wait for their own blood; they waylay only themselves. Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain: it takes away the lives of those who get it.”

See any parallels with today’s politics? Unless you’re a radical professor (and they all seem to be radical these days) rewriting history, real history would tell a visiting Martian Krauthammer & Proverbs can be said to have honed in on the sorry track record of socialists taking over governments & running them into the ground while unregulated capitalists too often have gotten away with slave labor. We still need another Lincoln to lead us out of this foretold House Divided?
