Sweet Secret Of Love Is It’s Anywhere 2 People Share
Perhaps one of the secrets of the Bible’s enlightenment lies within the inspired authors’ ability to capture, then, share eternal truths in just a few words. It’s similarly been said an artist’s beauty on canvas or in clay can surprisingly lie in its simplicity.
So, perhaps it is with Mac Discant’s lyrics (along with Max Steiner’s music) in “Theme From A Summer Place” that first appeared in a so-so 1959 movie by that name (starring Sandra Dee & Troy Donahue), but, then, recorded as hits by such greats as Percy Faith, The Lettermen and Andy Williams:
“The sweet secret of, a summer place;
Is that it’s anywhere, when two people share;
All their hopes…
All their dreams…
All their love.
