Taiwan Pelosi: Old Soldier Who’s Fading?

MSM was abuzz with Pelosi’s trip to Asia & dire PRC threats if she goes to Taiwan BUT, wasn’t real story “Why would our old president let older House Speaker visit Taiwan when neither will likely be in power so soon?

BTW: Pelosi’s official itinerary released Sunday does NOT include a Taiwan stop. So, cry baby PRC can relax as yet another crisis averted? If so, why’d our 2 geniuses play with fire anyway? Fact check: Joe Biden is 79; Nancy Pelosi is 92, er, 82. If most pundits on both sides of the aisle are correct in predicting a Red Wave in November’s mid-term elections … and 68% of Dems polled are begging Mr. Biden NOT to seek re-election in 2024 … it’s clear the only thing to be gained by a Pelosi trip to Taiwan is positive PR to make Joe look virile. BUT, but that would likely BOOMERANG on his head like his botched Afghan withdrawal, miserable attempt to threaten Putin into not invading Ukraine, and that premature War on Fossil Fuels that isn’t moving the needle a stitch in reducing global warming but heating up inflation to a 41-year high.

Not that there aren’t treaties suggesting our intent to defend Taiwan from an invasion by China. Still, the US hasn’t even yet recognized Taiwan as a sovereign nation. And, US policy has always been designed to AVOID a do or die confrontation with China over Taiwan. To be sure, Pelosi like Joe, is old, but unlike MacArthur’s old soldiers, they won’t just fade away if they get in the way of a Chinese missile. And, when talk centers on Pelosi’s airplane maybe meeting an unfortunate accident over Taiwan, which of course would be an Act of War by whoever, the upside of a Pelosi visit there at this time never seemed to be there, there…UNLESS Nanc plans a “Chicago Crotch-Kick” on Xi & parachutes unannounced…
